Sandy Soil Meadow Mix

This seed mix is ideal for starting a meadow area on sandy soils. There are a further 11 wildflower species included in it in addition to those listed below, which will create a diverse and colourful sward. This is a generic mix, so the wildflower element is guaranteed UK provenance and origin and the grasses are certified - i.e. not harvested from wild populations.

There are full instructions on the back of the packet. You can expect to receive your seed within five working days of placing an order.

Species making up over 4% of the mix are shown in bold.

Major Wildflower Species:

Betony Betonica officinalis

Common Knapweed Centaurea nigra

Viper's Bugloss Echium vulgare (in photo)

Excellent service

The seed packets arrived very promptly in packaging that kept them safe from damage, as well as being environmentally friendly!
Of course, it's far too soon to know how well the seed mix will perform in this particular location, but the variety of grasses and wildflower seeds in the mix promises well. I can't wait to see the results, both initially and the longer term development, as this is the first time I've tried to establish a small wildflower meadow by seed.

Helpful and informative

British Wildflowers were very helpful when I enquired about the best way forward for an area of land I hope will become a wildflower meadow. The website was easy to use and and the offer of small amounts of seed was a blessing. It is great to think that the seeds are British and not imported and the service of delivery was amazingly fast.
