Weald Meadow Mix

Weald Native Origin Seed is a diverse meadow seed mix, sustainably harvested from ancient meadows throughout the Weald (in Kent, Sussex and Surrey). Many donor fields are designated sites (SSSI or SNCI) and two are Sussex Coronation Meadows. The donor sites are lowland neutral /acidic meadows, characterized as MG5, and are relatively wet and naturally species rich with large populations of Weald specialties such as Common Spotted Orchids, Dyers Greenweed, Pignut, Meadow Vetchling and Yellow Rattle.

can't give feedback as hasn't turned up yet

Hi Amanda - thank you for taking the time to get in touch. I'm sorry your seed hasn't arrived yet; we have been waiting for the new harvest to come in, which was delayed by the weather. The harvesters have now finished cleaning it and we should be receiving it later this week, when we'll send it out ASAP. We should have communicated this to you, for which I can only apologise, but you have plenty of time to sow the seed.

Highly recommended

The seeds arrived promptly and well-packaged. I didn't plant them for months and then thought I might as well just scatter them around without preparing the ground, and try again next year.

But they have flowered beautifully!

Great products!

I was so disillusioned by the amount of garbage, non-native, so called 'wildflower seed mixes' turned out by retailers. I wanted native wildflowers and grasses to replace my lawn with. It would be even better if I could find some which were native to Kent. Then I found British Wildflower Seeds! Great products, great for the environment.
